Rescue Ranger

This review is going to be mostly fair with a hint of bias. Firstly, this was an amazing product. It’s like it was taken straight outta the screen and sold.

Secondly, I had one minor problem, the wire was disconnected from multiple parts of the prop. I had to glue it back in its proper places. I also have a small issue with the slug. Racking it feels like it may break, it hasn’t yet thankfully.

But I cannot stress the fact that these props are amazing. When I heard they were 3D printed, I thought it was gonna be cheap plastic and that they’d break on transit. But no, these things feel great to hold and are sturdy. The only other problem, which can be excused, is the shipping times. It felt like forever waiting for this thing but maybe because I’m inpatient.

The Rescue Ranger became my favourite weapon in not just TF2, but in all of fiction and media, when it was added to the game almost 12 years ago in late 2012! I've wanted a replica ever since, and my dream of owning one has finally become a reality thanks to PropFortress. It looks amazing and feels fantastic in my hands, with the ability to pump it. I guess the only improvement I could think of is if the wave on the monitor moved and it could actually fire the repair claw that came with it. But I couldn't ask for anything more, and I was even gifted a mini Engineer token and Golden Frying Pan! Overall a stupendous product and fantastic service, and definitely worth the wait (3 months in total rather than 9 years); I will definitely be buying a few more weapons in the future and hope to see other iconic ones become available for purchase!
